Principal Technical Product Marketing Manager — AI
About this role
Operators who have built enterprise workflows, pushed platforms past their limits, and wired AI into operations before the playbook existed will thrive in this position. Smartsheet is expanding its team to unite human teams with AI agents, moving beyond basic automation to orchestrate complex work. The person who succeeds here brings deep practitioner credibility, combining software development skills with enterprise operations experience to turn technical product capabilities into operator-to-operator narratives.
Working at the intersection of product marketing, technical storytelling, and field engineering, the incoming principal will build the exact reference implementations and MCP-connected workflows they preach. Responsibilities include shaping positioning, partnering with forward deployed engineering on marquee accounts, and enabling sellers to have substantive technical conversations with skeptical operators. Reporting to the VP of AI Market Strategy, the role offers the flexibility to work from the Bellevue office or remotely across registered U.S. locations.
