About this role

Complex payment operations and dispute queues require too much manual effort from merchants, a friction point this hire will solve by owning an AI assistant that queries data, provides insights, and executes actions on their behalf. The team builds a shared foundation that allows product domains across the company to contribute reporting, configurations, and specialized capabilities into a unified merchant interface.

Working in San Francisco, the successful candidate sets the multi-quarter product strategy, defines safety boundaries for agentic workflows, and collaborates with engineering, design, and legal to ship features that reduce manual toil. Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with LLM-powered products, deep comfort with ambiguity, and a track record of translating complicated backend systems into simple user experiences.

What you will do

  • Set the vision and multi-quarter strategy for how merchants run their business through an AI assistant.
  • Determine what the assistant can execute independently, what requires user confirmation, and what actions are restricted.
  • Take product capabilities from initial idea to production while driving measurable outcomes for customers.
  • Define quality and safety standards for merchant-facing agentic capabilities across the platform.
  • Enable product teams across different domains to contribute functionalities to a shared foundational surface.
  • Lead cross-functional groups spanning product, design, engineering, analytics, commercial, marketing, and legal.

What you need

  • Bring 5 or more years of experience building customer-facing products within high-growth tech or fintech environments.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience shipping AI-native, LLM-powered, conversational, or workflow automation products to real users.
  • Show a proven track record of scaling customer-facing products with material business impact.
  • Translate complex customer needs and commercial priorities into actionable multi-quarter product strategies.
  • Utilize analytical rigor to set clear metrics, track targets, and measure impact using data.
  • Simplify intricate, regulated, or high-stakes system architectures into clear experiences for the end user.
