Role Overview

Tenstorrent is expanding its Tensix team with a Power Architect who will shape how power is understood, estimated, and managed from the ground up. This contributor will guide architectural strategy and design decisions for high-performance AI compute systems. Candidates may work from multiple office locations on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Predict power consumption early during the architectural phase and track it as the RTL evolves.
Suggest architectural adjustments for power optimization across both server and non-server product markets.
Develop workloads that simulate real-world use cases to guide thermal and power-delivery solutions.
Correlate early pre-silicon estimates with actual silicon measurements to continually drive power efficiency enhancements.

Requirements

Possess 15+ years of relevant experience utilizing power estimation tools such as PrimePower, PowerArtist, PtPX, and RTL Architect.
Demonstrate proficiency in modeling and optimizing power at the architectural level, with extensive knowledge of leakage control, voltage domains, and power-gating.
Show a proven history of influencing architectural and micro-architectural modifications that successfully reduce design power.
Bring a background centered on the power-optimization of interconnects and/or compute datapaths.
