Role Overview
The Plant Maintenance Technician position at Crusoe in Arvada, CO is a full-time manufacturing role responsible for maintaining the reliability and uptime of critical facility equipment. This opportunity suits an experienced technician with a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems who thrives in a hands-on production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot complex electrical, high and low voltage, and mechanical issues on manufacturing and facility systems to minimize downtime.
Diagnose and service CNC machines, PLCs, utility systems including compressed air, potable water, and HVAC, as well as production equipment.
Maintain power supply lines, electrical distribution systems, motors, generators, switches, control panels, circuit breakers, wiring, sensors, relays, and electronic components.
Oversee facility utility systems and building equipment such as hoists, overhead doors, and industrial trucks.
Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance activities using a CMMS, including parts purchasing and developing work instructions.
Perform diagnostics and repairs on PLC systems, control panels, and circuits while interpreting schematics and manuals.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations, maintaining and enforcing the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program.
Collaborate with vendors, Engineering, and Operations teams on system upgrades, new installations, and maintenance activities.
Work independently with minimal supervision while providing informal guidance to other maintenance personnel.
Requirements
5+ years, with 10+ preferred, of experience in high and low voltage electrical systems in a manufacturing environment, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
In-depth understanding of relevant electrical codes.
Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters, amp meters, and other diagnostic tools.
Strong commitment to safety with experience in Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety-sensitive environments.
Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex electrical issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with managers, peers, and vendors.
Ability to work in varied weather conditions, stand or sit for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to pass a background check and participate in a drug and alcohol program due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
Nice to Have
Experience actively utilizing a CMMS, preferably UpKeep.
Experience in other building trades such as carpentry, HVAC, or plumbing.
Experience partnering with production and scheduling departments.
Familiarity with city utilities, rotating machinery, air compressors, and CNC machinery.
