About this role

Technical professionals who thrive on driving ecosystem growth through hands-on coding, architecture design, and strategic enablement will find an ideal home in this position. Glean operates an advanced Work AI platform that unifies enterprise search, AI assistants, and scalable agents across more than 100 SaaS connectors. Partner Solutions Engineers act as technical force multipliers, guiding strategic partners such as value-added resellers, system integrators, and independent software vendors to successfully design, deploy, and scale Work AI solutions across customer bases.

Working directly with partner solution architects and delivery teams, this person leads technical workshops, builds prototypes, and consults on complex integrations involving custom connectors and agentic workflows. The mandate focuses on developing long-term partner independence and engineering maturity rather than handling isolated customer deals. Success requires a strong execution mindset, solid coding fundamentals, and the ability to turn field learnings into repeatable technical assets and actionable product feedback.

What you will do

  • Own the technical success of strategic partners across onboarding, deep technical enablement, early production deployments, and scaled delivery motions.
  • Lead hands-on technical trainings, deep dives, workshops, and co-build sessions for partner engineers, architects, consultants, and delivery teams.
  • Help partners create repeatable service offerings, implementation packages, and reference architectures on top of Glean.
  • Develop partner technical maturity over time so their teams can independently architect, implement, troubleshoot, and support Glean in production.
  • Build prototypes, reference implementations, sample repositories, and reusable content that help partners move from concept to working deployment faster.
  • Capture field learnings from partner deployments and translate them into actionable feedback for Product and Engineering teams.

What you need

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or possess equivalent practical experience.
  • Bring at least 5 years of experience in a technical role such as partner engineer, forward-deployed engineer, solutions architect, solutions engineer, or consulting.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience building or deploying AI, LLM, or agent-based systems in production environments.
  • Possess experience writing, debugging, integrating, and deploying production software systems using APIs, SDKs, auth patterns, and cloud services.
  • Show strong engineering fundamentals alongside hands-on coding experience in Python and at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java.
  • Bring an understanding of cloud platforms with practical experience on at least one major provider including GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Maintain a willingness to travel between 25% and 50% of the time.

Nice to have

  • 8+ years in a technical role
  • Experience working with VARs, GSIs, SIs, Cloud Partners, ISVs, or partner delivery organizations
  • Experience with custom data source connectors, indexing pipelines, embedded experiences, enterprise search, retrieval, knowledge systems, or workflow automation
  • Experience creating reusable technical assets such as tutorials, guides, workshops, code labs, reference architectures, and implementation playbooks
  • Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment where you've shaped new partner motions, integrations, or GTM plays
