About this role

Role Overview

North America Regulatory Consultant is a full-time position located in San Diego, CA, suited for professionals with deep knowledge of U.S. and Canadian financial-crime regulations.

The role reports to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk and focuses on AML, BSA, KYC, KYB, sanctions and related compliance areas for a range of regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary subject-matter expert on North American AML, BSA, KYC, KYB, sanctions and beneficial ownership regulations.
Provide regulatory guidance to compliance operations, product development and client-facing teams.
Translate regulatory expectations into actionable product requirements and operational processes.
Leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity and decision-making within compliance workflows.
Support banks, fintechs, payments firms, lenders, crypto businesses, gaming platforms and marketplaces in meeting compliance obligations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Trulioo’s solutions remain industry-leading.

Requirements

In-depth understanding of U.S. and Canadian AML, BSA, KYC, KYB, sanctions and financial-crime compliance frameworks.
Experience working with regulated entities such as banks, fintechs, payments companies, lenders, crypto firms, gaming platforms or marketplaces.
Ability to bridge regulatory expectations with product development and operational execution.
Strong communication skills for delivering expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
Familiarity with AI or emerging technologies applied to compliance processes.
