Role Overview

The Mobile Developer position centres on creating native Android applications for financial services, insurance, payments, and claims. The selected engineer works collaboratively with product and design teams to translate complex financial journeys into simple mobile interactions.

Key Responsibilities

Build and deliver native Android features using Kotlin.
Develop streamlined mobile navigation for insurance, renewals, payments, and financial products.
Partner with design and product teams to simplify complex user paths.
Connect backend application programming interfaces to maintain stable and secure mobile operations.
Optimize application performance, manage memory usage, reduce crash rates, and enhance responsiveness.
Utilize user analytics and production data to refine the mobile experience.
Implement AI-assisted mobile features designed to improve user journeys.

Requirements

Three or more years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin.
Solid understanding of Android fundamentals and a track record of deploying production applications.
Familiarity with modern Android architecture, Jetpack, Coroutines, and Flow.
Deep understanding of mobile user experience, edge cases, and usability.
Background in integrating REST application programming interfaces and troubleshooting production errors.
