Key Responsibilities

Formulate and construct production systems that orchestrate agent execution and support AI-driven scientific workloads.
Construct and manage scalable, dependable infrastructure across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises enterprise platforms.
Engineer systems dedicated to sandboxed execution, secure task isolation, and managed compute environments while establishing security, access control, and compliance foundations for enterprise deployments.
Administer storage and data architectures for large-scale scientific operations, incorporating distributed file systems, object storage, and databases.
Collaborate directly with machine learning and science groups to transition computational workflows into resilient, production-grade distributed architectures.

Requirements

Three or more years of professional industry experience specializing in backend, infrastructure, or distributed systems engineering.
Proficient programming capabilities in at least one language such as Python, Go, or Rust.
Practical background in designing and running distributed systems within production environments.
Extensive hands-on familiarity with containerization and Kubernetes.
Proficiency using infrastructure-as-code software like Terraform or Pulumi.
Operational expertise running systems on major cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Direct experience constructing or managing large-scale distributed file systems, storage solutions, or databases in production.
Ability to independently own systems end-to-end within a fast-moving and high-autonomy workplace.

Nice to Have

Background developing research and development infrastructure within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
Familiarity supporting data-intensive scientific computing, bioinformatics, high-performance computing, or machine learning workloads.
Experience working with job orchestration, task scheduling, or workflow engine utilities.
Knowledge of sandboxed or isolated execution frameworks such as gVisor, Kata Containers, or Firecracker.
Exposure to distributed storage, monitoring systems, or high-performance compute environments.
