Role Overview

The Member of Technical Staff, Machine Learning position involves developing core machine learning components and working on production systems from the first day. Personnel in this role will build proactive applications designed to bring intelligence to daily workflows with minimal prompting.

Key Responsibilities

Construct and enhance machine learning components covering data, training, evaluation, and inference.
Adapt and fine-tune models within larger production systems.
Establish evaluation and testing processes to analyze model behavior.
Construct and manage data pipelines utilizing real-world and synthetic data.
Troubleshoot model failures, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents.
Deploy iterative improvements based on actual user feedback.
Collaborate with senior machine learning engineers and product teams.
Operate under practical production constraints including latency, safety, cost, and reliability.

Requirements

Solid foundations in machine learning and contemporary neural architectures.
Practical hands-on background in training, fine-tuning, or deploying machine learning models.
Capability to write production-ready code and rapidly learn new tools.
Curiosity, coachability, and willingness to learn from production systems.
Ability to navigate ambiguity alongside guidance and steadily increase ownership.
