Manufacturing Operations Program Manager
About this role
Scaling reliable AI infrastructure introduces friction when managing new product introductions and mature production lines across multiple cross-functional groups. To address this, the Hardware Quality and Operations team needs a Staff Manufacturing Operations Program Manager to lead execution and transformation across new product ramps and sustaining operations.
This person will define and own the new product introduction manufacturing program plan through every phase from engineering verification testing to mass production. Responsibilities include running risk registers, managing contract manufacturer expansions, driving quality excursion resolutions, and ensuring clean handoffs from development to steady-state manufacturing. The ideal candidate is an execution-focused professional who brings structure to ambiguous environments, translates technical risks into business outcomes, and drives accountability across engineering, supply chain, and quality stakeholders without relying on formal authority.
What you will do
- Define and own the new product introduction manufacturing program plan across EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP phases, including schedule, build and test readiness, and go/no-go gate reviews.
- Manage the transition from new product introduction to sustaining operations by handing off process documentation, quality plans, and spares strategy cleanly to steady-state production.
- Stand up and maintain risk registers covering technical, supply chain, quality, and schedule risks across contract manufacturers, suppliers, and data centers.
- Manage manufacturing strategies that encompass contract manufacturer expansion, data enablement, and cross-contract-manufacturer standardization.
- Act as a primary point of alignment across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and program and product management for assigned programs.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level program updates regarding status, risks, and required decisions to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Build consensus across teams with competing priorities to drive decisions to closure during new product ramps or live production issues.
What you need
- Bring 8+ years of experience in program management, NPI, operations, or quality within hardware manufacturing environments, spanning new product launches and sustaining production.
- Demonstrate direct ownership of new product introduction programs through EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP build phases, with hands-on experience driving build and test readiness.
- Show experience managing sustaining engineering programs such as ECOs, running changes, second-source qualification, or end-of-life and product transition planning.
- Possess a track record of facilitating cross-functional resolution of quality issues under time pressure across fast-moving ramps and live production environments.
- Apply structured communication skills to present program status and risk to senior leadership and align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong program and project management fundamentals including schedule management, risk tracking, milestone and gate reviews, and action item management.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
