About this role

An organized accountant who loves owning a ledger end to end and thinking about an asset's whole life will thrive in this position. CoreWeave operates a fast-scaling infrastructure business where accounting teams run monthly closes while simultaneously building internal processes. This role manages the fixed asset register once assets are placed into service, overseeing depreciation, asset master data, and subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations.

The person who succeeds here is comfortable making reasoned judgment calls, writing down the rationale, and maintaining momentum during periods of high growth and ambiguity. Daily duties involve partnering with project accounting, leasing, tax, and operations teams while supporting internal and external audits under Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

What you will do

  • Manage the fixed asset register as the standing record for assets in service, covering asset classes, useful lives, and componentization.
  • Execute monthly reconciliations of the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Oversee the monthly depreciation run and ensure that depreciation begins promptly after assets are placed in service.
  • Handle accounting for asset transfers, retirements, disposals, and replacements, including the removal of original costs and accumulated depreciation.
  • Analyze monthly depreciation and asset activity against budget and forecast numbers while preparing necessary financial reporting schedules.
  • Maintain process documentation and controls to meet Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements and support both internal and external audits.

What you need

  • Bring at least 6 years of accounting experience with a strong background in fixed asset or property accounting.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience owning a fixed asset subledger and managing end-to-end month-end closes.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance along with experience managing control documentation.
  • Show proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with non-accounting teams such as operations and tax.
  • Have prior experience working with enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Applicants must possess work authorization that does not require company sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

  • Fixed asset or property accounting background in data centers or comparable capital-intensive infrastructure
  • Experience standing up or running retirement, replacement, and componentization processes for a large asset base
  • Big 4 public accounting experience
  • CPA or CMA credential
  • Experience working with AI tools
