About this role
Ripple requires an experienced engineering leader to solve complex scaling challenges and spearhead the development of GSmart, the core AI platform powering smart features across enterprise treasury products. Addressing greenfield projects with undefined problems, the incoming manager will establish a robust infrastructure that enables various teams to build dependably on the platform while maintaining full ownership of their deliverables.
Day-to-day work centers on owning the platform roadmap from inception to delivery, contributing directly to architecture and full-stack production code, and collaborating closely with product and solution groups to translate customer challenges into fluid technical solutions. Beyond technical execution, the person in this role will hire, mentor, and actively grow the platform AI engineering team within a collaborative startup environment.

What you will do
- Manage the complete end-to-end roadmap and delivery schedule for the AI platform.
- Ensure that platform artificial intelligence systems remain measurable and dependable in production.
- Partner closely with product and solution teams to resolve genuine customer challenges.
- Empower internal teams to build directly on the platform and maintain accountability for their output.
- Build, mentor, and scale the platform artificial intelligence engineering team.
- Contribute directly to system architecture and write full-stack production code.
What you need
- Minimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience spanning full-stack development and artificial intelligence or machine learning platform infrastructure.
- At least 2 years of formal engineering management experience leading technical teams.
- Strong proficiency in full-stack development covering front-end, back-end, and APIs, alongside solid cloud infrastructure experience.
- Proven background in operating artificial intelligence systems within production environments.
- Deep and current command of modern large language models and generative AI infrastructure.

For positions based in New York, the annual base salary range is $200,000 to $250,000 USD. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including individual applicant experience and qualifications.
