Tenstorrent is currently hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to join the AI Models team in Cyprus. This hybrid position invites professionals of various experience levels to bring advanced machine learning models to life directly on custom AI hardware.

Role Overview

The Machine Learning Engineer works closely with custom hardware to unlock maximum performance for cutting-edge artificial intelligence systems. This role suits professionals passionate about machine learning engineering who want to impact silicon-scale workloads rather than merely working behind an API. Responsibilities span the entire lifecycle of real workloads, from porting and tuning to validating large language models and vision models on specialized accelerators.

Key Responsibilities

Bring up, run, and debug modern machine learning models, including transformers, using frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Analyze model behavior and performance to locate and resolve bottlenecks across the technology stack.
Enhance the execution efficiency, correctness, and scalability of models within real operational systems.
Collaborate directly with compiler, kernel, and hardware engineering groups to push system-level improvements.
Assist in translating cutting-edge model architectures into high-performance, production-grade deployments.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience building and operating machine learning models with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Thorough understanding of modern machine learning architectures, specifically transformers.
Strong software engineering foundations complemented by robust debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where research intersects closely with hands-on engineering.
Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology, subject to compliance with relevant federal laws and regulations.

Nice to Have

Practical experience with performance profiling and tuning.
Familiarity with quantization techniques, flash attention, kernel fusion, and memory hierarchies.
Working knowledge of C++, CUDA, or general systems programming.
