Role Overview

Alohi seeks a full-time Machine Learning Engineer to join its engineering team based in Geneva, Switzerland. This position suits a skilled professional ready to design, deploy, and optimize advanced algorithms that support products used by millions of customers globally.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain machine learning models and algorithms for various company applications.
Collaborate closely with product managers and software engineers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Collect, preprocess, clean, and analyze extensive datasets to extract meaningful insights.
Apply robust statistical techniques and data visualization methods to properly interpret model results.
Optimize, fine-tune, and evaluate machine learning models to ensure peak operational performance.
Create and maintain thorough documentation for all developed algorithms and models.
Research and stay current regarding the newest developments within artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Requirements

Bachelor degree in data science, computer science, or a closely related discipline.
Strong coding proficiency in Python alongside libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
High proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and interacting with databases.
Clear understanding of unsupervised and supervised machine learning algorithms.
Foundational knowledge in image processing and OCR technologies.
Demonstrated experience handling data wrangling, feature engineering, and data preprocessing.
Familiarity with hypothesis testing and statistical analysis.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and independent problem-solving capabilities with a proactive attitude.

Nice to Have

Advanced degree in data science or computer science.
Hands-on experience utilizing big data processing frameworks like Spark or Hadoop.
Prior contributions or publications within the broader machine learning community.
Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Matplotlib.
