Role Overview

LLM Application Engineer at ActAI involves creating the intelligence layer for AI experiences by combining software engineering, product design, and large language models. The professional will manage end-to-end problems, shape agent workflows, connect models and tools, and refine AI behaviour in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Construct and deliver LLM-backed applications and AI agent workflows.
Create architectures for reasoning, memory, planning, tool usage, and multi-step tasks.
Establish dependable orchestration pipelines to convert probabilistic outputs into safe actions.
Connect language models with application programming interfaces, search tools, databases, and internal services.
Implement prompt engineering, context engineering, structured outputs, and tool-calling methods.
Establish evaluation frameworks and datasets to track reliability and performance regressions.
Troubleshoot artificial intelligence systems across model layers, orchestration, backend services, and user interfaces.
Enhance artificial intelligence systems regarding performance quality, latency, and operational costs.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to transform product challenges into working solutions.
Set up production practices covering system observability, tracing, and experimentation.

Requirements

Solid software engineering foundations paired with practical experience creating AI-backed applications.
Direct background working with generative AI, large language models, or agent-based architectures.
Experience establishing prompts, workflows, evaluations, or AI behavioural patterns.
Capacity to produce clean code suitable for production environments.
Familiarity traversing abstraction layers spanning models, systems, and products.
Strong problem-solving abilities within dynamic, ambiguous settings.
Orientation toward rapid shipping, iteration, and ongoing enhancement.
