ActAI seeks an LLM Application Engineer to operate where language models, software development, and products meet. Ownership of tasks spans from grasping user needs and designing agentic systems to integrating tools and building evaluation mechanisms in production.

Key Responsibilities

Construct and deliver applications powered by large language models and artificial intelligence agent workflows.
Create architectures for reasoning, planning, memory, tool usage, and multi-step execution.
Establish dependable orchestration pipelines to transform probabilistic outputs into predictable, observable, and safe actions.
Connect language models with application programming interfaces, databases, search functions, internal services, and external tools.
Formulate prompting, context engineering, structured outputs, and tool-calling methods to better model behavior.
Create evaluation frameworks and datasets to gauge quality, dependability, and regressions.
Troubleshoot artificial intelligence systems across the stack from model behavior to backend services and product user experience.
Refine systems regarding quality, latency, and financial cost.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to transform ambiguous challenges into functioning solutions.
Set up production methods for observability, tracing, experimentation, and ongoing refinement.

Requirements

Solid software engineering fundamentals combined with background in building applications driven by artificial intelligence.
Practical experience utilizing language models, generative intelligence, or agent-based architectures.
Experience planning prompts, workflows, evaluations, or model behaviors.
Capability to write clean code fit for production.
Comfort navigating multiple abstraction layers reaching from models to systems and products.
Strong problem-solving abilities within ambiguous environments.
