Role Overview

The Lead Program Manager owns program-level strategy, execution, and client relationships for generative AI training data projects. This position directs the complete delivery lifecycle across multiple projects and vendors while partnering closely with quality management to maintain consistent standards. The successful candidate establishes operating rhythms, manages budgets, and optimizes high-volume operations from the Gurgaon location or remotely.

Key Responsibilities

Define program goals, milestones, roadmaps, and operating models across multiple projects and vendors.
Lead a delivery team of project managers and coordinators by setting clear goals, managing capacity, and providing coaching.
Serve as the primary daily executive contact for clients, leading governance, planning, and quarterly business reviews.
Partner with quality management to align on guidelines, audits, acceptance criteria, and corrective actions.
Plan rater and annotator capacity, optimizing shifts, workflows, and tooling to achieve high-volume targets.
Manage program budgets, financial margins, and change orders to align commercial and delivery commitments.
Maintain program risk logs, conduct root-cause analyses, and execute remediation plans.
Standardize standard operating procedures, templates, and reporting dashboards.
Ensure organizational compliance regarding data handling, privacy, and platform access.

Requirements

Hold a bachelor's degree or possess equivalent experience in business, operations, data engineering, or a related field.
Bring 5 to 8 years of experience leading large or multi-workstream delivery within AI data, content review, labeling, annotation, or similar domains.
Demonstrate proven expertise in program-level management within high-volume environments, including vendor management and capacity planning.
Show a strong record of managing client relationships and facilitating governance cadences.
Possess advanced English proficiency for working effectively with global, distributed teams.

Skills and Tools

Program planning and portfolio governance across multiple concurrent projects.
Team leadership encompassing goal setting, coaching, delegation, and performance feedback.
