Role Overview

Mistral AI is hiring a Lead Product Manager for Inference to direct the inference portfolio within the Cloud and Inference organization in Paris with remote options. This role suits an experienced product leader with an engineering background who wants to build sovereign AI cloud infrastructure and drive large-scale product lines.

Key Responsibilities

Shape the vision, strategy, and annual goals for the inference portfolio by analyzing customer needs and benchmarking the market.
Manage the entire lifecycle for serverless inference, dedicated endpoints, and related services from prioritization to measurement.
Oversee product economics, revenue contribution, unit economics, and gross margins while collaborating with finance and marketing.
Engage directly with AI-native startups and enterprise clients to translate production workloads and constraints into actionable roadmap decisions.
Partner daily with inference and cloud infrastructure engineering teams to optimize capacity planning, scheduling, routing, and reliability.
Monitor open-source inference advancements and model architectures to drive product efficiency.
Assist in scaling and mentoring a growing inference product management team over time.

Requirements

Extensive product experience in technology and infrastructure, specifically launching inference, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale distributed systems.
Professional background in engineering prior to transitioning into product management.
Proven history of taking infrastructure or inference products from early stages to substantial revenue and user adoption.
Hands-on execution style combined with the capability to build and coach a future team.
Strong understanding of business economics, including gross margins, unit economics, and GPU capacity tradeoffs.
High sense of ownership, independence, and willingness to prototype using AI coding tools and write personal specifications.
Collaborative, low-ego mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, engineers, and clients.
