About this role

A candidate who enjoys the intersection of product strategy and operational execution, particularly within the AI domain, would find this role suitable. This position centers on leading the execution of Zynga's internal AI operating platform, which serves as the central system for accessing and governing AI capabilities across the company. The Lead Product Manager is responsible for establishing the operational backbone that converts AI requests into tangible, shipped features. This involves managing the entire lifecycle of requests, from initial intake and triage through research, engineering execution, and impact measurement.

This role requires a hands-on approach, focusing heavily on running a tight operational loop to ensure engineering teams remain unblocked and that outcomes are measured effectively. The individual will partner closely with engineering to deliver across various platform surfaces, including chat, knowledge bases, and workflows. Success in this role depends on the ability to drive delivery against a roadmap while maintaining rigorous standards for process and data-driven decision-making.

This job exists to ensure that Zynga's AI initiatives are systematically implemented and that the platform evolves efficiently. It is ideal for someone who thrives on owning complex processes, translating technical landscapes into product requirements, and setting a standard for AI-first operational practices within the organization.

What you will do

  • Drive the day-to-day execution of the AI platform roadmap in collaboration with engineering, spanning from initial specification through release and post-launch iteration.
  • Develop and manage the intake and triage process for all incoming requests, defining clear criteria for prioritization and establishing a repeatable operating cadence.
  • Conduct necessary research, including technical landscape scans of models and tools, to inform product decisions and generate actionable documentation.
  • Own the measurement framework for the platform, including usage, adoption, and performance metrics, ensuring proper reporting and early detection of regressions.
  • Create clear, detailed, and technically grounded specifications for complex features and make necessary trade-off decisions regarding scope and timelines.
  • Serve as the primary product contact for engineering on specific areas, actively unblocking the team and escalating critical issues to leadership.
  • Coordinate with design and other stakeholders to ensure execution remains aligned with agreed-upon priorities.

What you need

  • Possess a minimum of six years of end-to-end Product Management experience, successfully leading complex, technical product areas from initial strategy through final delivery.
  • Demonstrate deep technical fluency, enabling the navigation of specifications, APIs, and system constraints to make credible technical tradeoffs and build trust with the engineering team.
  • Require hands-on expertise with AI-powered products, including LLMs, agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and utilizing AI tools to enhance internal workflows.
  • Must have a strong operational rigor, evidenced by a track record of designing structured intake/triage processes and managing competing workstreams effectively.
  • Be proficient in data-driven decision-making, including defining metrics, analyzing data using tools like SQL/dashboards, and using evidence to prioritize work.
  • Exceptional communication skills are necessary to author clear specifications and effectively translate complex technical execution details to both engineering and senior leadership.
  • The candidate must possess high agency in ambiguous situations, serving as a self-starter who takes ownership and shapes processes independently.

Nice to have

  • Experience with agent frameworks
  • Experience with RAG implementations
