Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical design and execution for major products, features, and engineering initiatives.
Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
Stay hands-on through coding, prototyping, code reviews, debugging, and production problem-solving.
Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Break down ambiguous product and technical problems into clear execution plans.
Set high standards for code quality, system design, testing, security, observability, and reliability.
Review technical designs and code from peers while offering actionable feedback.
Mentor other engineers to strengthen technical capabilities across the team.
Identify technical risks and architectural weaknesses proactively.
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and artificial intelligence teams.
Improve engineering tooling, development practices, and automation.
Own systems post-release by monitoring production and resolving incident root causes.

Requirements

Strong software engineering background with extensive experience building and shipping production systems.
Deep technical expertise in areas such as backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
Strong system design and architecture skills for complex or high-scale systems.
Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding and debugging.
Prior experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership.
Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly and influence cross-team peers.
Strong product sense linking technical choices to customer and business outcomes.
Comfort working rapidly amidst ambiguity with end-to-end ownership.
