Key Responsibilities

Build, test, validate, and maintain machine learning models with mentorship from senior colleagues.

Construct and manage data pipelines and analytical datasets using cloud data systems.

Assist with statistical forecasting, experimentation, and analysis to guide business choices.

Communicate technical discoveries clearly to audiences without a technical background.

Help establish best practices for monitoring, validating, and documenting models.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline like computer science, mathematics, or engineering, featuring coursework in machine learning or statistical learning.

Proficiency in Python and PySpark for producing clean, tested, and maintainable code.

Practical experience utilizing cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Fabric.

Advanced SQL capabilities, including multi-table joins and window functions.

Firm grasp of foundational machine learning principles, including cross-validation, overfitting, class imbalance, time-ordered data leakage, and selecting suitable evaluation metrics.

Experience with gradient-boosted trees, logistic regression, support vector machines, k-nearest neighbors, and clustering methods.

Familiarity with taking models from the development phase into scheduled or production environments.

Practical background using Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and workflow orchestration.

Strong communication skills to clarify model behavior and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, as visa support is unavailable.

A graduate degree in a related field.

Prior professional experience as a machine learning engineer or in a comparable capacity.

Background in fintech, trading, or financial services.
