Role Overview

Baseten is seeking an IT Support / Operations Engineer to join the team in San Francisco on a hybrid schedule. This position suits a hands-on problem solver who wants to bring technical support in-house and directly impact internal productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the main escalation point for daily hardware and software troubleshooting across Mac and Windows computers.
Handle user lifecycle tasks like provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management across multiple services.
Lead the IT onboarding process for new hires, including laptop setup and account configuration.
Keep office IT infrastructure running smoothly and maintain reliable physical and AV environments.
Create and update a self-service knowledge base to lower ticket volume and help users find answers quickly.
Handle IT asset purchasing, inventory tracking, and vendor partnerships.
Assist with new office expansions and broader workplace technology planning.
Find ways to automate manual workflows and improve overall operational efficiency.
Perform systems administration tasks such as managing user permissions and cloud service maintenance.

Requirements

Strong familiarity with Google Workspace, MDM tools like Kandji, SSO solutions like Okta, and video conferencing systems.
Demonstrated experience managing macOS at scale alongside working knowledge of Windows.
Practical background in automation tools and process streamlining.
Outstanding communication skills and a strong commitment to high-quality user support.
Strong organizational habits to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic workplace.
