Inventory Control Specialist
About this role
Organized professionals with a strong background in logistics and inventory control will thrive in this onsite position at the Ellendale data center. The team maintains physical IT hardware infrastructure to support scaling AI and cloud infrastructure platforms for enterprise clients. Day-to-day work centers on tracking servers, managing shipments, executing routine audits, and collaborating closely with operations and finance groups.
This role exists to ensure hardware assets remain accurately accounted for and readily available as capacity demands fluctuate. Ideal candidates bring solid organizational capabilities, familiarity with asset tracking software, and the physical stamina required to handle heavy data center equipment.
What you will do
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware and IT assets within the assigned data center region.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving processes for materials to ensure safe storage and distribution.
- Conduct ongoing audits of the asset inventory to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with the operations team to allocate resources and optimize hardware utilization.
- Keep detailed records of inventory, shipments, and audits while providing regular reports to management.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records using inventory management software.
- Travel as needed to support inventory management and audits at various data center locations.
What you need
- Demonstrate proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Show strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with asset management software.
- Possess excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory records.
- Comfort working in a data center environment with the ability to move and lift heavy objects.

What is the salary range for this role?
The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $85,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
