The Hardware Data Center Technician role at Crusoe in Reykjanesbaer is a full-time position focused on maintaining cloud platform reliability and uptime. Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve hardware failures in complex GPU-based servers, covering both air and liquid-cooled systems to minimize downtime.
Partner with the Infrastructure Systems team to support hardware burn-in, stress testing, and the qualification of new equipment.
Manage hardware vendor relationships by opening support tickets, acting as the on-site liaison, and tracking hardware issues.
Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts and replenish stock to facilitate fast repairs.
Assist the Cloud Deployments team with racking and cabling servers to expand infrastructure efficiently.
Document hardware problems and resolutions accurately while communicating clearly with internal groups and vendors.
Handle physical demands such as working in thermal, sound, and vibration-heavy environments, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Deliver occasional after-hours on-call support to resolve critical issues.

Requirements

Four or more years of hands-on working experience inside a data center environment.
Extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing complex GPU-based servers with air and liquid cooling.
Deep technical understanding of server hardware, BMC-based manageability, firmware deployment, and BIOS settings.
Familiarity with network topology and Infiniband switches.
Basic expertise in Linux system administration.
Possession of an Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in an information technology field.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience working with high-performance computing technologies.
Holding relevant certifications including CompTIA Server+ or CCNA.
Experience utilizing scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
Knowledge of datacenter infrastructure management tools.
Background working within a fast-growing startup setting.
Familiarity with diverse data center cooling systems and direct experience with liquid cooling.
