Role Overview

The Golang Engineer position at Luxor is a full-time, remote opportunity based in the Philippines focusing on the Tenki cloud platform. This role suits a proficient backend developer with a systems mindset who wants to build scalable compute infrastructure within a high-growth startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, maintain, and evolve core gRPC API services utilizing ConnectRPC.

Design and operate a private, programmable microservices fabric that securely connects platform components.

Manage identity services using the Ory stack including Kratos, Keto, and Hydra.

Develop and execute strategies for DDoS mitigation to counter adversarial threats.

Build high-performance Golang gRPC services from the ground up designed to scale to millions of users.

Define and implement immutable infrastructure principles to enable rapid reconstruction, failover, and full tear-down.

Drive projects from concept to completion by authoring clear Engineering Requirement Documents and actionable plans.

Collaborate closely with TypeScript application teams and platform teams to deliver robust internal and external APIs.

Requirements

Proven professional experience as a proficient Golang engineer building high-performance, concurrent applications.

Strong track record of architecting and maintaining gRPC services, with familiarity in ConnectRPC.

Experience implementing or managing identity and authorization services such as the Ory stack or similar OIDC/OAuth2 providers.

Solid understanding of systems architecture, including overlay networking and secure service meshes like WireGuard.

Background in building for resilience and security, including DDoS mitigation using techniques like eBPF or traffic shaping.

Experience designing immutable infrastructure where servers can be rapidly reconstructed without manual intervention.

Ability to write clear Engineering Requirement Documents and translate abstract concepts into technical plans.

Capability to thrive in ambiguity within an early-stage startup environment with strong ownership and grit.

Availability to reliably work within the Philippines (GMT+8) core time zone and communicate fluently in English.
