About this role

Alan is hiring a Fullstack Software Engineer to join the Ops AI Platform team on a contract basis, offering a remote work arrangement across France, Belgium, or Spain. This role is well-suited for a product-minded engineer with a strong backend background who wants to shape the architecture of autonomous AI systems from the ground up.

Role Overview

Alan is building a new standard in prevention insurance by integrating insurance, prevention, and care into a single user experience. The Ops AI Platform team is tackling a brand-new project to create a platform where AI agents autonomously handle operational work. As a Fullstack Software Engineer, you will join at ground zero to shape the architecture, product, and foundation of this platform. You will work at the intersection of product engineering and machine learning engineering to build systems that allow non-technical ops users to create, evolve, and monitor AI agents safely at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Integrate AI agents at the heart of internal tools with context-aware chat modals and interactive user interfaces.
Empower non-technical users to independently create and maintain agents for prompting, tool configuration, testing, datasets, and evaluations.
Build a complete set of tools connecting AI agents to internal business data, external servers, and web dashboards without APIs.
Ensure safety and accuracy through robust testing, stateful evaluation, progressive rollout, human-in-the-loop validation, and fine-grained permissions.
Scale the system to grow from handling a few dozen tasks to tens of thousands of automated tasks daily.
Mentor other engineers, contribute to product and engineering culture, and participate in hiring.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
Strong background in full-stack software engineering and systems architecture, with a distinct spike in back-end engineering.
Product-minded approach with a desire to build solutions that are actively used and impactful.
Self-directed, pragmatic, humble, and willing to grow.
Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork, learning, and teaching skills.
Fluent in English.

Nice to Have

Experience working with traditional machine learning, large language models (LLMs), or machine learning dev ops.
