Role Overview

Lavendo is facilitating the recruitment process for a fast-growing AI infrastructure company with a team of approximately sixty employees. The organization has raised $57.5 million from prominent investors and built a data curation platform that accelerates model training. As one of the foundational members of the post-sales technical organization, the Forward Deployed Engineer will guide strategic enterprise accounts from initial contract signing through full production rollout while helping shape the team's operational playbooks.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the complete onboarding, deployment, and production rollout of the platform for strategic enterprise clients.
Act as the primary technical contact for accounts, fostering long-term relationships across hybrid and on-premises environments.
Architect scalable and secure workflows that integrate compute, storage, networking, and distributed systems spanning AWS, GCP, Azure, and Kubernetes.
Translate complex customer requirements into concrete technical architectures.
Establish foundational post-sales processes and playbooks from scratch.
Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Research teams to relay field feedback into product roadmaps.
Travel to customer locations as required, accounting for roughly fifteen percent of the time.

Requirements

Possess five to ten years of professional experience in a post-sales individual contributor capacity, such as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or Machine Learning Engineer.
Bring hands-on machine learning and model training experience covering pre-training, mid-training, and post-training concepts.
Demonstrate practical experience deploying software directly into enterprise infrastructure.
Show strong proficiency in Python and AWS.
Hold a technical degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
Maintain a willingness to travel to customer sites for roughly fifteen percent of the schedule.

Nice to Have

Exposure to multi-cloud environments including GCP and Azure.
Familiarity with on-premises or hybrid Kubernetes.
Background with broader machine learning tooling.
