The Finance Systems Lead position at Baseten in San Francisco is a full-time role responsible for managing and evolving the technology stack supporting financial operations. Key Responsibilities

Direct the strategy, roadmap, configuration, and administration of core finance systems including the enterprise resource planning platform and financial planning tools.
Manage end-to-end data integrations across billing, planning, and accounting to ensure clean and accurate data flow.
Collaborate closely with the People department to oversee HRIS and payroll data accuracy and integration with the enterprise resource planning platform.
Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations regarding quote-to-cash and commission systems to maintain proper ties to revenue recognition.
Identify manual workflows and build automated solutions for reporting and data reconciliation in coordination with data analytics teams.
Document system architecture thoroughly and establish strict governance protocols for user access, permissions, and controls.

Requirements

Minimum of seven years of professional background working in finance systems, business systems, or comparable systems administration roles.
Demonstrated practical experience implementing or administering financial planning platforms.
Proven capability in integrating systems across financial functions and adjacent areas like HRIS, payroll, CPQ, or commissions.
Strong technical proficiency required to design workflows and direct technical configuration partners or contractors.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments such as Accounting, Legal, FP&A, and Revenue Operations.
Location requirement to be based in San Francisco or New York with the ability to work in person at least three days a week.

Prior experience managing CPQ and commission administration platforms.
