Enterprise Account Executive - UK Public Sector
About this role
The team builds data and artificial intelligence solutions that help public institutions improve services, increase productivity, and extract value from public technology investments. This role involves taking ownership of an established portfolio of strategic UK government accounts, protecting and expanding that base, and building new relationships across departments and agencies that do not yet use the platform.
The position functions as a succession role where the incoming account executive steps into existing momentum and stakeholder relationships while developing a clear view of how data and AI can address sector challenges. Success in this position requires translating national priorities into measurable customer outcomes, running a consumption-led sales motion, and orchestrating cross-functional and partner resources across complex public-sector sales cycles.
What you will do
- Manage an existing portfolio of strategic government accounts to maintain continuity with current stakeholders while expanding usage of the platform.
- Build and execute a territory go-to-market plan that prioritizes departments, agencies, and high-value use cases for sustainable growth.
- Identify and pursue net-new opportunities across unengaged government departments to build a robust pipeline.
- Translate national and departmental priorities into compelling data and AI value propositions and executive conversations.
- Map and engage buying centers within each account to build champions and compress decision cycles.
- Run a consumption-led sales motion using demand plans to grow usage over time rather than closing one-off deals.
- Orchestrate cross-functional and partner resources, including professional services, training, systems integrators, and hyperscaler co-sell teams.
What you need
- Demonstrate a strong track record of quota attainment or over-achievement selling into public-sector accounts.
- Possess experience managing an existing account portfolio through a transition while simultaneously prospecting for new business.
- Bring working knowledge of UK Government structures, national priorities, procurement frameworks, and public-sector funding mechanisms.
- Show background selling cloud software, data platforms, open-source technology, or related enterprise technology markets.
- Have experience selling usage-based models and co-selling with major cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Demonstrate familiarity with structured sales methodologies like MEDDPICC or Value Selling alongside disciplined forecasting.
- Meet eligibility requirements for security clearance.
