About this role

To scale agentic AI across millions of customer accounts and internal employee workflows, Robinhood needs an experienced engineering manager to lead its AI Platform and Agentic Apps team. This group develops the underlying agent platform that enables automated code shipping, data querying, and operational task execution in a highly regulated brokerage environment.

The incoming leader will guide the technical direction of agent orchestration, tool integration, and evaluation frameworks while partnering closely with Legal, Compliance, and Security to build reliable permissioning and audit trails. Success in this position requires a blend of hands-on technical depth in large language models and strong organizational leadership capable of managing complex, nondeterministic systems at consumer scale.

What you will do

  • Build and lead the team behind Robinhood's agentic applications by hiring engineers, growing talent, and owning the product roadmap.
  • Set technical direction on agent orchestration, tool integration, evaluations, and permissioning for consequential actions.
  • Make agents trustworthy enough to act in a regulated brokerage by establishing eval-gated releases, guardrails, and audit trails.
  • Own production reliability for nondeterministic systems running on third-party model providers through SLO management and incident resolution.
  • Define and track key metrics such as task completion, quality, latency, and cost per task while reporting progress to leadership.

What you need

  • Bring over 10 years of experience managing software engineers with a strong track record of hiring and shipping products at scale.
  • Demonstrate hands-on depth in large language model systems, including shipping tool-calling agents to production environments.
  • Possess experience running consumer-scale production services with responsibility for SLOs and on-call rotations.
  • Apply strong judgment in ambiguous and fast-moving spaces to turn conflicting input into focused roadmaps.
  • Communicate clearly and directly with engineers, product teams, and executives across functions.

Benefits

  • Performance driven compensation with multipliers, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching
  • 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents
  • Access to the Robinhood Employee Fund for eligible US employees
  • Lifestyle wallet for wellness and learning
  • Employer-paid life and disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits
  • Paid time off, company holidays, sick time, and parental leave
