About this role
Leading enforcement operations and policy, the Director of Trust and Safety will scale detection and remediation for violative content, fraud, bots, and identity issues while navigating music rights and regulatory obligations. Because generation volume outpaces human review, the work centers on building automated enforcement systems that scale, maintain high accuracy, and balance precision against cost.
Operating within a fast-paced environment, the person in this role will build and guide the Trust and Safety team, govern model-assisted decisioning, and manage vendor partnerships. Successful candidates bring extensive experience leading trust and safety functions through major scale inflections at user-generated content or generative platforms, possessing a strong grasp of enforcement economics and cross-functional influence.
What you will do
- Build and lead the Trust and Safety team, covering enforcement operations, policy, vendor programs, quality management, and training.
- Manage enforcement economics end-to-end, including decision costs, precision and recall tradeoffs, automation targets, and queue design.
- Govern AI-assisted decisioning through model-assisted pipelines, human-in-the-loop thresholds, appeals architecture, and audit accountability.
- Oversee all vendor partnerships and business process outsourcing relationships, determining the operational split between internal teams and external providers.
- Run the operational layer for music rights enforcement by handling rights-matching abuse patterns and copyright workflows alongside Legal.
- Translate regulatory regimes like the DSA, OSA, and emerging AI-content rules into practical tooling, processes, and measurable readiness.
- Report key metrics and operational tradeoffs directly to executive leadership.
What you need
- Bring at least 8 years of professional experience in trust and safety, integrity, or content operations.
- Accumulate a minimum of 4 years leading teams through significant scale inflections.

- Show hands-on experience building or governing model-assisted enforcement systems featuring human-in-the-loop design and audit accountability.
- Exhibit a track record of driving initiatives across Product, Engineering, Legal, and Policy without direct authority.
