Role Overview

LeanData seeks a Director of Product Design to lead the design function and transform how revenue teams interact with the platform. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, this role holds the accountability to make design a strategic differentiator in the age of artificial intelligence. The position involves defining the overarching design vision across orchestration, scheduling, buying groups, and emerging AI capabilities, turning complex enterprise workflows into intuitive and inspiring experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Define and drive the product design vision across the entire suite of products and upcoming AI features.
Establish and maintain a high quality bar for interaction design, visual design, and systems thinking.
Build, mentor, and grow a team of product designers while fostering a culture of craftsmanship and curiosity.
Partner directly with Product Management and Engineering leadership as part of product triads.
Embed user research, usability testing, and data-informed design practices into the development lifecycle.
Navigate cloud architecture and Salesforce-native constraints to design solutions for diverse personas, from RevOps admins to sales leaders.

Requirements

10+ years of product design experience with significant depth in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or workflow tools.
5+ years of experience leading and growing design teams, including managing both senior and junior personnel.
A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating mastery in simplifying multi-step workflows into intuitive user experiences using systems thinking.
Strong strategic instincts combined with hands-on craft abilities.
Demonstrated experience partnering as an equal with product and engineering leadership.
Familiarity with user research methodologies such as Jobs-to-be-Done, usability testing, and journey mapping.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to articulate design rationale to varied audiences.

Nice to Have

Experience shipping products in domains where the user interface serves as the core product, such as workflow builders, visual editors, or active AI assistants.
Background designing for Salesforce ecosystem products or CRM applications.
Previous involvement in revenue operations, marketing automation, or sales engagement tooling.
Familiarity with agentic AI patterns, LLM-powered user experiences, or intelligent automation workflows.
Track record of establishing or scaling a design systems practice.
