Role Overview

The selected leader drives the strategy behind AI-powered tools, workflows, recommendations, and agentic experiences that boost adoption, engagement, trust, and productivity. Operating within the P&T Strategy and Biz Ops department, this professional acts as a key collaborator and influencer to translate complex emerging technologies into simple, outcome-oriented experiences. Candidates can work from multiple company locations including Kansas City, Missouri; Phoenix, Arizona; Fairfax, Virginia; Boston, Massachusetts; or Santa Clara, California.

Key Responsibilities

Define and champion core experience principles for AI-powered products, workflows, and tools throughout the firm.

Design conversational, multimodal, and agent-assisted interactions that support natural user experiences.

Construct comprehensive user journeys combining human expertise with automated AI recommendations.

Establish robust AI UX standards, interaction patterns, and guidelines ensuring accessibility and consistency.

Conduct extensive user research to map customer behaviors, mental models, and expectations regarding artificial intelligence.

Partner directly with Product Managers, Engineers, Architects, and Data teams across the complete product lifecycle.

Translate user insights into wireframes, prototypes, and interaction designs for rapid testing and validation.

Leverage analytics and ongoing user feedback to continuously monitor, refine, and optimize AI-enabled features.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.

Between 5 to 10+ years of professional experience spanning product design and UX design.

Prior experience successfully deploying artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions within heavily regulated environments, with financial services preferred.

Hands-on background taking products through the full development lifecycle from initial ideation to execution.

Experience collaborating directly within Agile product development teams.

Solid comprehension of AI and machine learning ecosystems, large language models, orchestration layers, and data platforms.

Demonstrated ability to balance risk, innovation, and strict regulatory compliance.

Familiarity with ADA compliant design principles.

Proficiency in creating journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, design systems, and conducting usability testing.

Exceptional storytelling and communication capabilities to influence stakeholders across both business and technology segments.

Salary and Benefits

The expected national base salary range for this position spans from $154,200 to $205,600 USD. Final base pay is determined by individual factors including responsibilities, job-relevant skills, relevant experience, market conditions, and geographic location. Additional compensation elements may include discretionary bonuses, health plans, dental coverage, various wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
