You will operate as the post-sale technical lead across all Databricks products, orchestrating internal resources, building executive relationships, and driving accountability for major use cases. This position exists to provide high-touch guidance and technical credibility to the most demanding public sector customers, helping them maximize their return on investment while navigating intricate technical landscapes. Success in this hybrid role requires a unique blend of commercial acumen, hands-on programming capability, and seasoned program management skills.
What you will do
- Collaborate with sales and field engineering teams to accelerate platform adoption and usage growth within assigned strategic accounts.
- Serve as the accountable technical leader for post-technical win strategies, guiding workloads from onboarding to successful production go-live.
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical issues and production statuses, coordinating across shared services, support, and engineering resources.
- Create and execute comprehensive operational plans covering user growth, product adoption, cost control, tuning, and executive governance.
- Provide regular KPI reporting and health updates on customer investments, risk factors, and use case progressions to the Technical GM.
- Navigate product teams for private previews, upgrades, and innovations while partnering with professional services on delivery proposals.
What you need
- U.S. citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements and client site access obligations for classified information.
- Bring 7 or more years of experience managing technical project or program delivery within the data and AI domain.
- Demonstrate programming experience utilizing Python, SQL, or Scala.
- Possess a background in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting capacity.
- Show a solid understanding of solution architecture for distributed data systems and how to align business value with project deliverables.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
