Complex organizations frequently struggle to accelerate usage and maximize return on investment for selected workloads on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform. Databricks needs a Delivery Solutions Architect within the Field Engineering organization to serve as the post-sale technical lead and drive growth across strategic healthcare and life sciences accounts. Working closely with sales and field engineering teams, the incoming architect leads technical account strategies, manages stakeholder relationships, and resolves critical technical escalations.
Candidates balancing technical depth with commercial acumen thrive in this position. The role requires someone capable of conducting open-ended discovery workshops, orchestrating specialized internal teams, and guiding major workloads smoothly from initial win to active production.
What you will do
- Collaborate with sales and field engineering teams to accelerate platform adoption and platform growth within assigned accounts.
- Lead post-technical win strategies and execution plans for Databricks use cases within strategic customer accounts.
- Serve as the primary contact for technical issues, questions, and go-live statuses regarding agreed-upon production use cases.
- Coordinate with Professional Services resources to create, own, and execute points-of-view for accelerating key use cases into production.
- Navigate Product and Engineering teams to support new product innovations, private previews, and necessary system upgrades.
- Develop comprehensive execution plans covering enablement, product adoption, organic needs, and executive governance.
- Provide internal and external KPI reporting on usage status, customer health, investment status, and potential risks.
What you need
- Bring over 5 years of experience accountable for technical project or program delivery within the data and artificial intelligence domain.
- Demonstrate programming experience utilizing Python, SQL, or Scala.
- Possess background experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting capacity.
- Show clear understanding of solution architecture related to distributed data systems.
- Demonstrate expertise in technical program or project management, including account, stakeholder, and resource management accountability.
- Display experience resolving complex escalations with senior customer executives.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical work experience.

The expected base salary or on-target earnings range is $180,000 to $247,500 USD, depending on the assigned pay zone and individual candidate factors.
