Role Overview

The Delivery Solutions Architect at Databricks operates as a trusted technical advisor, partnering with sales, field engineering, and solutions architecture teams. Key Responsibilities

Shape and guide technical execution strategies for intricate use cases across multiple workstreams within strategic accounts
Advise customer architects and technical leaders by leading discussions and directing architectural decisions
Create secure, governed, and scalable platform architectures while balancing system cost, performance, reliability, and scale
Develop and showcase functional prototypes, custom solutions, and reusable assets to expedite client results
Establish operational best practices covering governance, security, and scalability to match platform maturity needs
Accelerate platform usage and consumption by resolving roadblocks and linking technical actions to business goals
Collaborate with internal, client, and partner teams to organize resources, minimize risks, and quicken project delivery
Guide team members by sharing technical frameworks, reusable guidance, and organizational enablement

Requirements

Five or more years of professional background in technical consulting, solutions engineering, solutions architecture, data engineering, professional services, or related domains
Background in shaping technical strategy and architecture across multifaceted customer deployments
Programming proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL, or Scala for building and debugging solutions
Familiarity with distributed data systems, analytics, data engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud architectures
Experience building secure, scalable, and production-ready data environments
Competence in addressing ambiguous technical scenarios and validating choices via experimentation
History of leading architectural talks with senior customer stakeholders and technical leads
Knowledge of operational excellence, including governance, security, reliability, and cost control
Skill in fostering adoption and measurable business impact through technical leadership
Stakeholder management abilities to align cross-functional teams without formal authority
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

Prior experience or certification with Databricks
Specialization focus in AI, machine learning, streaming, data engineering, data warehousing, governance, or cloud migrations
Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience building scalable demos or reusable technical frameworks
