Delivery Solutions Architect
About this role
Guiding complex customer use cases from technical win to production, this practitioner serves as a technical advisor to design secure and scalable data architectures. Day-to-day work involves building working prototypes, unblocking delivery, and aligning sales and engineering teams to accelerate platform adoption.
Operating within the field engineering organization at Databricks, the person in this role partners closely with customers to optimize AI and data solutions on the Data Intelligence Platform. Success requires balancing performance and cost while establishing operational best practices for governance and security across strategic accounts.
What you will do
- Define technical execution strategies and guide architecture decisions across multiple workstreams in strategic accounts.
- Design secure, governed, and scalable Databricks architectures while balancing performance, cost, and reliability.
- Build and demonstrate working solutions, prototypes, and reusable technical assets to accelerate customer outcomes.
- Drive adoption and consumption by unblocking delivery and connecting technical execution to business outcomes.
- Partner across internal and customer teams to align resources, manage risks, and accelerate delivery.
- Mentor peers and contribute reusable technical guidance and frameworks across the organization.
What you need
- Bring at least five years of experience in solutions architecture, technical consulting, data engineering, or a related role.
- Demonstrate strong coding proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar languages to build and validate technical solutions.
- Possess a deep understanding of distributed data systems, analytics, AI/ML, and modern cloud architectures.
- Lead architecture discussions effectively with technical leads, architects, and senior customer stakeholders.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrate full professional proficiency in Japanese.
Nice to have
- Databricks experience or certification
- Developing expertise in a technical specialization such as AI/ML, data engineering, streaming, data warehousing, governance, or migrations
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and production cloud deployments
- Experience creating reusable technical frameworks, demos, or enablement that scale across teams
- Business-level English proficiency
