Role Overview

The Delivery Solutions Architect functions within the Field Engineering organization at Databricks, reporting to a Delivery Solutions Architect Manager. This hybrid position blends technical leadership with commercial responsibilities to accelerate platform adoption and ensure customer success across strategic accounts. The professional acts as the post-sale technical lead across all products, engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with sales and field engineering teams to drive growth, adoption, and usage of the Databricks platform for assigned customers.
Lead post-technical win strategies and execution plans for use cases within strategic accounts to ensure onboarding, go-live, and healthy consumption.
Serve as the primary contact for production-related technical issues, escalating to expert resources and coordinating with Professional Services proposals.
Manage work streams covering use case progression, enablement, product adoption, organic needs like cloud cost control, and executive governance.
Provide internal and external KPI reporting on customer health, risks, investment status, and adoption metrics to the Technical General Manager.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience accountable for technical project or program delivery within Data and AI.
Programming experience using Python, SQL, or Scala.
Background in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting role.
Familiarity with solution architecture for distributed data systems and project management accountabilities.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to travel up to 30 percent when necessary.
