Daily work involves owning the data warehouse, managing data models to support AI and machine learning products, and building both batch and real-time data pipelines. Team members operate in an AI-first environment where intelligent tooling is integrated into every phase of engineering, from architecture and testing to documentation and operational analysis.
What you will do
- Own the management and operation of TextNow's data warehouse, data pipelines, and integration points between business systems.
- Design, develop, and support new and existing batch and real-time data pipelines while recommending necessary modifications.
- Manage data models to enable AI and machine learning data products.
- Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to champion the data ecosystem and provide quicker access to insights.
- Communicate data modeling and architecture processes clearly to cross-functional teams.
- Identify, design, and implement continuous process improvements across the entire data platform.
What you need
- Bring three to five years of experience working with data warehouse or data lake and ETL architectures, cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, and hands-on coding in Python and SQL.
- Demonstrate at least two years of professional experience utilizing Airflow and Spark.
- Possess a background in developing scalable, real-time data pipelines using Python or Scala, SQL, and distributed processing frameworks such as Spark or Flink.
- Have prior exposure to AWS platform services including EKS, MSK, and MWAA.
- Show direct experience building data features using Snowflake, dbt, and Python to power real-time AI and machine learning inference.
