This role involves diagnosing hardware and network issues, performing physical repairs, conducting root cause analyses, assembling equipment, and developing scripts to update server and networking hardware. The position exists to ensure the continuous stability, security, and scalability of physical assets while meeting strict service level availability standards. Candidates who possess a curious mindset about server architectures, data center networking, and automation scripts will do very well here.
What you will do
- Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability.
- Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and physical repairs.
- Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures.
- Assemble, install equipment, and maintain inventory.
- Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware.
- Train internal teams and develop technical documentation.
- Provide technical support and participate in an on-call rotation with response times within 60 minutes for emergencies.
- Travel up to 10% of the time to other data center locations as required by business needs.
What you need
- Computer hardware experience including troubleshooting and assembling.
- Linux Operating System experience.
- Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods to perform diagnostic and repair tasks.
- Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces to access server racks.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment including rotating on-call shifts.
Nice to have
- Hands-on or education-based experience in computer networking
- Python, Bash, or other scripting languages experience
- Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
- An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field

This is a salaried, 100% onsite role located in Quincy, WA. Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled data center with fluctuating temperatures ranging from 60°F to 90°F.
What is the compensation range for this position?
The base salary range is $65,000 to $83,000. The starting salary is determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location, alongside a total rewards package that includes a discretionary bonus and equity awards.
What are the on-call and schedule expectations?
The role requires availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including participating in a rotating on-call shift. Candidates must be able to respond to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while on scheduled on-call.
