About this role
Keeping physical data center infrastructure stable and reliable requires hands-on troubleshooting and hardware diagnostics to prevent downtime. CoreWeave operates the cloud platform powering AI development, and the data center operations group maintains the physical assets underpinning these systems. This role focuses on hardware maintenance, network diagnostics, root cause analysis, and inventory management in a climate-controlled facility.
Daily responsibilities include assembling equipment, running diagnostics, writing update scripts, and documenting procedures. Candidates who enjoy physical problem-solving, work well within a 24/7 environment, and possess foundational Linux and hardware skills typically thrive in this position. Travel up to 10% of the time and participation in an on-site emergency response rotation are required.
What you will do
- Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability while conducting hardware and network diagnostics and repairs.
- Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures and develop documentation to support internal teams.
- Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware, manage inventory, and assemble or install equipment.
- Perform maintenance on test and tool equipment and travel up to 10% of the time to other data center locations.
- Respond to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while on scheduled on-call shifts.
What you need
- Computer hardware experience including troubleshooting and assembling components.
- Linux operating system experience.
- Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces like under-floor areas or ladders.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment including rotating on-call shifts.

This is a salaried, 100% onsite role located at the data center in Marble, NC.
What is the compensation for this role?
The base salary range for this role is $65,000 to $83,000, determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

Work is performed in a climate-controlled data center with temperatures ranging from 60°F to 90°F. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces.
