Role Overview

Harmattan AI seeks a Computer Vision Engineer to join the Computer Vision Tracker team. The professional works at the intersection of computer vision, sensor fusion, and GNC teams to build high-precision target estimation and tracking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Research and implement computer vision approaches for object tracking across various modalities by merging classical geometrical methods with internal AI detection models.
Combine data from multiple sensors like cameras, IMU, and radar to ensure robust tracking under difficult conditions.
Optimize and embed tracking algorithms onto hardware-constrained platforms to achieve real-time performance alongside other drone software.
Partner with GNC, sensor fusion, and AI groups to merge tracking pipelines into a production-ready system.
Monitor scientific trends in computer vision, tracking, and sensor fusion to bring new methodologies to the product.
Support the team through the management or mentorship of junior engineers based on seniority.

Requirements

Academic background with a degree in a STEM subject such as Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Background in researching, developing, and productizing computer vision and sensor fusion algorithms in hardware-constrained settings.
Proficiency in C++ and Python programming for real-time systems, alongside edge optimization experience.
