Role Overview

Harmattan AI seeks a Computer Vision Engineer to join the Computer Vision Tracker team in Paris, Lausanne, or Zurich. The professional in this position will create a global 3D object tracking pipeline working at the intersection of computer vision, sensor fusion, and GNC teams.

Key Responsibilities

Research and implement computer vision approaches for object tracking across multiple modalities and scenarios, merging classical geometric methods with in-house AI detection models.
Combine data from various sensors including cameras, IMUs, and radar to deliver high-precision target estimation and reliable tracking in difficult conditions.
Optimize and embed tracking algorithms onto heterogeneous platforms with limited computing resources to maintain real-time performance alongside other drone software.
Partner with GNC, sensor fusion, and AI teams to integrate tracking pipelines into a production-ready system.
Monitor scientific trends in computer vision, tracking algorithms, and sensor fusion to bring new methodologies into the product.
Support the team through the management or mentorship of junior engineers, depending on seniority.

Requirements

Academic background featuring a degree in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Demonstrated history in researching, developing, and productizing computer vision and sensor fusion algorithms for hardware-constrained environments.
Proficiency in C++ and Python for real-time systems, along with experience optimizing code for edge deployment.
