About this role
Deepgram builds foundational voice AI infrastructure, including speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and voice agent APIs that process audio data across hosted, dedicated, and self-hosted deployments. This Compliance and Documentation Lead role unifies privacy operations and security compliance into a single function to manage assessments, data flow maps, and regulatory frameworks.
The person in this role will draft and maintain technical documentation, security questionnaires, policies, and public posture documents that withstand scrutiny from auditors and enterprise customers. Candidates must possess strong writing abilities and a deep understanding of how voice data is handled across different deployment models.
What you will do
- Manage end-to-end customer privacy risk assessments, DPIAs, and transfer impact assessments while serving as the technical voice in privacy reviews.
- Build and maintain accurate data flow maps and records of processing across hosted, dedicated, and self-hosted deployments.
- Handle audit evidence and act as the primary point of contact for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS compliance audits.
- Maintain security questionnaires, RFP responses, and an up-to-date answer library for enterprise customers.
- Author internal policies, standards, and public-facing posture documents including Trust Center content, Model Cards, and Privacy Policies.
- Partner with Security Engineering, Legal, Research, and Sales Engineering to align technical realities with compliance commitments.
What you need
- Substantial experience in privacy operations, GRC, security compliance, or technical compliance documentation with full audit cycle ownership.
- Exceptional writing skills capable of translating complex technical systems into clear documents for auditors and engineers.
- Demonstrated ownership of compliance operational systems at scale.
- Ability to interpret data flows and technical system details across various deployment architectures.
