Role Overview

The CNC Machine Operator oversees the daily execution of panel bender, punch, and laser machines to build accurate components for Crusoe Fabricators. The professional utilizes sketches, blueprints, work orders, and programs to successfully manufacture high-quality parts that meet strict client standards. This role operates during the night shift, scheduled from Monday through Thursday between 4:00 PM and 2:30 AM.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and operate machinery to create parts, which includes loading feed mechanisms by hoisting sheet metal.
Input programs or handle post-production tasks for current programs, followed by running test operations.
Read and interpret design blueprints to guarantee items match customer specifications.
Adjust machinery or programming to maintain proper quantity and quality benchmarks.
Inspect products and machines using check sheets and quality control systems.
Monitor CNC machinery periodically to verify that laser or punch tooling remains in proper condition, replacing or sharpening tools as necessary.
Conduct routine daily maintenance and oversee tooling inventory for upcoming production cycles.
Examine work orders and programs to verify required materials and design accuracy.

Requirements

Minimum of three years of professional experience working as a Machinist or CNC Operator.
Capability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
Strong mechanical aptitude alongside analytical, methodical problem-solving abilities.
Capacity to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for 8 hours or longer daily.
Physical ability to lift, lower, push, and pull merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
Constant utilization of back, legs, eyes, fingers, hands, and arms.
Detail-oriented mindset with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and collaborative team spirit.
Ability to successfully clear a background check.
Participation in the drug and alcohol program due to the safety-sensitive designation of the facility.

Nice to Have

A certificate or two-year technical degree focused on CNC Operations, Precision Machining, or Machine Technology.
Practical background working with shop machinery like Brake Presses and Shears.
Prior experience operating punch and laser equipment.
