Role Overview

BJAK is hiring a backend engineer to develop the foundational systems powering its AI Finance Agent. The position requires creating robust infrastructure that scales across multiple markets and millions of users while handling sensitive financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Construct backend services, application programming interfaces, and operational workflows for an AI neobank application.
Support diverse product categories including insurance, payments, wallets, savings, investments, and travel services.
Design stable architectures for user profiles, financial transactions, partner connections, automated reconciliation, and alerts.
Collaborate closely with product management and mobile development teams to deliver user-facing features rapidly.
Establish secure integrations with financial institutions, payment gateways, insurance providers, and data vendors.
Enhance overall system dependability, monitoring capabilities, data security, and execution speed.
Deliver practical, auditable systems tailored for strictly regulated financial products.

Requirements

Possess at least three years of professional backend engineering background.
Demonstrate solid fundamentals concerning application programming interfaces, data storage, architecture design, and production-level debugging.
Bring practical expertise in creating scalable web services and connecting third-party platforms.
Understand core concepts related to information security, system reliability, data integrity, and operational edge cases.
Exercise sound judgment when balancing delivery speed, code quality, and technical risk.
Communicate fluently in English, which serves as the primary working language across global teams.
