Role Overview

In this position, the Technical Lead directs the technical strategy, execution, and delivery of sophisticated AI solutions for strategic enterprise clients. The professional acts as the main technical contact throughout the entire customer lifecycle, from initial pre-sales discussions to final implementation. Responsibilities include guiding clients through high-stakes industries such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and defense while collaborating closely with research, product, and engineering divisions.

Key Responsibilities

Write critical lines of code as an individual contributor to de-risk complex projects, staying involved in coding, reviewing, and optimizing AI solutions.
Lead technical teams of Applied AI Engineers by providing mentorship, technical direction, and best practices for deploying generative AI applications.
Drive pre-sales technical discussions, translating customer requirements into actionable solutions and explaining technological advantages to diverse audiences.
Design and oversee the implementation of complex artificial intelligence systems, including fine-tuning, RAG, agentic workflows, and custom large language model applications.
Identify emerging trends, evaluate new tools, and champion best practices for inference, fine-tuning, and deployment.
Collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers to integrate customer feedback into the product development cycle.

Requirements

Fluent in both French and English.
Hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
8+ years of total experience in AI or machine learning, including 2+ years in a technical leadership position such as Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, Staff Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
Proven track record of leading teams to deliver complex AI projects from prototyping to production in sectors like technology, finance, or industrial automation.
Deep expertise in advanced RAG, fine-tuning LLMs, agentic systems, and deploying natural language processing applications at scale.
Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and modern artificial intelligence frameworks.
Solid software engineering abilities covering system architecture, backend development, and API design.

Nice to Have

Contributions to open-source projects, particularly in the artificial intelligence or large language model space.
Background in customer-facing positions focused on enterprise artificial intelligence adoption, such as Solutions Architect, Customer Engineer, or Technical Product Manager.
Track record of driving technical strategy and influencing product direction based on market opportunities and customer feedback.
