Role Overview

BJAK seeks an Applied AI Engineer to construct AI-native systems for its AI Finance Agent. The position focuses on automating real operational workflows, reducing manual tasks, and improving financial services for users and internal teams rather than conducting pure research.

Key Responsibilities

Develop AI-driven workflows, assistants, agents, and automation systems
Implement artificial intelligence across customer support, CRM, onboarding, claims, renewals, payments, operations, and internal tools
Collaborate with product and engineering departments to convert manual procedures into scalable AI-native architectures
Integrate large language models with internal data, external APIs, documents, knowledge bases, and business platforms
Design fallback procedures, safety checks, and evaluation frameworks to ensure reliable and useful outputs
Rapidly prototype solutions, gather feedback from users or operators, and productionize successful designs
Enhance operational speed, quality, and consistency through practical artificial intelligence applications

Requirements

Strong software engineering background, specifically with backend systems and Python
Practical experience utilizing large language model application programming interfaces, agents, retrieval-augmented generation, workflow automation, or artificial intelligence tools
Ability to connect artificial intelligence architectures with operational, product, and data workflows
Sound judgment regarding the appropriate application of artificial intelligence versus rule-based logic or human oversight
Familiarity with failure modes, accuracy, latency, privacy, cost, and evaluation metrics
Ability to rapidly build, test, and ship practical systems
Strong English communication skills
