Role Overview

The Applied AI Engineer creates artificial intelligence systems and automated workflows for the Bjakcareer financial platform. This position requires building production-grade tools that automate manual processes and improve financial services for users and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Construct automated systems, assistants, and AI-powered workflows.
Implement intelligence across claims, customer support, onboarding, CRM, renewals, payments, and operational tools.
Collaborate with engineering and product groups to transform manual procedures into scalable automated systems.
Integrate large language models with internal data, business software, knowledge bases, documents, and application programming interfaces.
Establish monitoring, evaluation, and fallback mechanisms to ensure safe and reliable outputs.
Develop rapid prototypes, conduct testing with operators or users, and deploy functional solutions to production.
Enhance the consistency, speed, and quality of workflows where technology generates measurable business value.

Requirements

Solid foundation in software engineering, with a preference for backend systems and Python.
Direct experience developing applications using workflow automation, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, and large language model interfaces.
Ability to link intelligence systems with operational, data, and product workflows.
Sound decision-making regarding the application of automated technology versus rule-based logic or human oversight.
Comprehension of failure modes, privacy, cost, latency, accuracy, and evaluation metrics.
Ability to prototype, test, and deliver practical systems swiftly.
Strong English communication skills, as English serves as the primary working language.
Availability to work from the United Kingdom office a minimum of three days per week in a hybrid setup.
