Role Overview

Bjak is hiring an Applied AI Engineer for a full-time position located in Seoul, Korea. The role focuses on building production-grade artificial intelligence solutions rather than conducting theoretical research. Selected candidates will design and deploy automated systems that simplify financial services for users and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Construct AI-driven assistants, agents, and automation pipelines.
Implement artificial intelligence across customer support, CRM, onboarding, claims, renewals, payments, operations, and internal platforms.
Collaborate with engineering and product groups to convert manual procedures into scalable automated systems.
Develop integrations connecting LLMs with internal data, APIs, documentation, knowledge bases, and corporate software.
Create fallback, evaluation, and monitoring frameworks to maintain safe, reliable, and useful outputs.
Rapidly prototype solutions, test them with operators or users, and productionize effective designs.
Enhance workflow consistency, speed, and quality by applying technology where it delivers measurable business value.

Requirements

Solid software engineering background, with a preference for backend systems and Python.
Practical experience developing applications using workflow automation, AI tools, agents, RAG, or LLM APIs.
Ability to link artificial intelligence solutions with operational, data, and product workflows.
Strong judgment regarding when to apply artificial intelligence versus human review or rule-based logic.
Comprehension of failure modes, latency, accuracy, evaluation, cost, and data privacy.
Rapid prototyping capability to test and ship functional systems.

Nice to Have

Background in fintech, insurance, support automation, CRM, or operations automation.
